What is MinerU?+

MinerU is OpenDataLab’s document parsing project for turning complex PDFs into structured Markdown and related outputs. Official online workbench: mineru.io; source on OpenDataLab’s GitHub.

Is this about Zelda’s Mineru?+

No. This page is for the document PDF-to-Markdown tool audience, not the Zelda character or unrelated “Mineru” game results.

Does MarkAny run MinerU?+

MarkAny is not the official MinerU service and does not self-host the complete MinerU engine. Processing depends on the file format: DOC/DOCX files use a third-party MinerU conversion service. For the official engine, APIs or self-hosting, use mineru.io or OpenDataLab’s project.

Should I use mineru.io instead?+

Yes—if you need MinerU itself (science layouts, MinerU APIs, on-prem). Use MarkAny when you want a simple independent online upload→Markdown path without the MinerU stack.

Does MarkAny match MinerU formula or chemistry output?+

No. MarkAny does not promise formula, chemistry, or MinerU feature parity. Review scientific PDFs carefully, or use official MinerU for that class of work.

Should I use PDF to Markdown instead?+

If you searched bare “pdf to markdown”, use that format page. This URL targets MinerU tool-name seekers.

Can I convert multiple files at once?+

Yes. Add up to five files of the selected type, with a 50 MB limit per file and a 250 MB total selection limit. MarkAny processes up to two at once and lets you cancel or retry individual items.

What happens to files I upload?+

File-to-Markdown conversion uses MarkAny’s cloud storage and conversion infrastructure. The current service does not publish a guaranteed deletion timeframe, so do not upload confidential, sensitive, or regulated material.
