ONLINE ALTERNATIVE FEATURES

MarkAny conversion for the same files-to-Markdown job.

Conditions & review

These details may not transfer completely or may need a manual check. Review them in the preview.

  • Not the named engine

MarkAny is an independent converter, not an official hosted edition of these tools. DOC/DOCX conversion uses a third-party MinerU service; complete engine or feature parity is not promised.

  • Complex source layouts

Multi-column pages, scans, merged cells, diagrams, and dense tables may need correction after conversion.

Before you convert.

Firecrawl AnyDoc–style online alternative: convert PDF, Office, HTML, EPUB, and images to Markdown in the browser. Not AnyDoc Translator; not hosted AnyDoc.

What is AnyDoc (Firecrawl)?+

Firecrawl’s AnyDoc is an open-source documents→Markdown toolkit (Word, PPT, Excel, ODF, RTF, EPUB, CSV, PDF, and more) with a browser WASM demo. See github.com/firecrawl/anydoc and firecrawl.github.io/anydoc for the official project and try-it page.

Is MarkAny the same as AnyDoc or AnyDoc Translator?+

No. MarkAny does not run or host AnyDoc and is not affiliated with Firecrawl or AnyDoc Translator/OCR SaaS products. This page is MarkAny’s independent online converter for the same documents→Markdown job.

When should I use official AnyDoc vs MarkAny?+

Use Firecrawl AnyDoc (local, WASM, or bindings) when you need that toolkit. Use MarkAny when you want a no-install cloud upload→Markdown workflow with preview and download.

Is this a translation product?+

No. MarkAny converts files to Markdown. It is not a document translator. If search results show AnyDoc Translator, that is a different product category.

What can I convert here?+

Supported MarkAny inbound formats: PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, HTML/HTM, EPUB, and common images. Results are Markdown you can preview, copy, or download.

Where should I go for a specific format?+

Use PDF to Markdown, Word to Markdown, or other format pages when your search is format-led rather than tool-name-led.

Can I convert multiple files at once?+

Yes. Add up to five files of the selected type, with a 50 MB limit per file and a 250 MB total selection limit. MarkAny processes up to two at once and lets you cancel or retry individual items.

What happens to files I upload?+

File-to-Markdown conversion uses MarkAny’s cloud storage and conversion infrastructure. The current service does not publish a guaranteed deletion timeframe, so do not upload confidential, sensitive, or regulated material.

Do I need an account to convert files?+

Sign in to convert files. New accounts receive 5 free conversions; a subscription is required after they are used.
